• The Filipino – American Memorial Endowment in cooperation with National Book Store sponsored the book launching of “Escape from Davao” on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at the Elks Club.
• Authored by John D. Lukacs, a writer with a budding reputation as a World War II and sports historian, specializes in one-of-a-kind stories-the unusual, the unprecedented and the virtually unknown.
“Escape from Davao” is the story of one of the most remarkable incidents in the Second World War and of what happened when the Americans returned home to tell the world what they had witnessed.
